Nollywood actress, producer, and social media influencer Allwell Ademola is dead. Ademola, 43, was a versatile Yoruba cinema figure, known for her roles in films like Third Eye and Ile Wa, collapsed at her Lagos residence Saturday and was rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, where she was pronounced dead on arrival from a suspected heart attack.
Ademola’s death, confirmed by peers including Faithia Williams who posted, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell,” has triggered an outpouring of grief across social media.
Mide Martins called it a “BLACK SATURDAY,” while Bidemi Kosoko pleaded in disbelief for Ademola to respond to her messages.
With nearly 200,000 Facebook followers under her “Allwell signature” brand, she blended acting, directing, writing, and online content creation, amassing credits on IMDb for projects spanning Yoruba and English-language films.
As the granddaughter of Nigeria’s late Chief Justice Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, she connected elite heritage with Nollywood’s digital grassroots rise, often sharing personal stories like the tragic loss of her fiancé to armed robbers years before their wedding.
Her last online activity highlighted her enduring presence in the industry, where she was celebrated for comic timing and production prowess.
No official statement from her family or management has detailed funeral arrangements as of Saturday evening, though colleagues are coordinating candlelight processions and memorials in Lagos and beyond. Tributes continue to flood platforms, underscoring Ademola’s impact on Nollywood’s evolving media landscape.
